Skagit Floating Fly Line

For 2021, our Skagit head series has undergone a complete redesign. We've moved away from the traditional, level-belly Skagit tapers and introduced fully tapered lines that provide the smoothest power delivery from the rod to the tip, ensuring precise casting accuracy.

We've carefully optimized the tip diameter of these new heads to accommodate a wide range of sink tip lengths and weights, allowing for versatility in fly attachment. Whether you're targeting steelhead or salmon, our Skagit heads will deliver your fly with precision and authority.

The floating head comes in a subtle sky blue color, making it visible without being overwhelming. The black band at the back of the head provides a sharp contrast to bright shooting lines. The compact and powerful design, coupled with a fully tapered belly, facilitates consistent turnover and accurate delivery.

Designed to be used with sink tips, the Skagit heads are perfect for swinging flies deep and slow, ideal for catching elusive fish. The high contrast sighter at the rear of the head helps identify the perfect overhang, enhancing casting accuracy.

With an intermediate sink density, our Skagit heads are suitable for moderate and cold climates. The braided multifilament core adds durability and strength to the lines, ensuring they perform optimally in various conditions.
